I totally agree with you; we are manufacturers of an agentless solution, which audits global scale networks at the rate of 250 nodes per second, returning data at the rate of 6,000 nodes per minute. All I ever hear (from agent base vendors) is the same old lame arguement that agentless wont get the detail. We can get anything an agent based solution can get; and with no deployment, no change control, over wireless, to wireless, no impact on users, minimal impact on network, increased security due to fragmented datastream(no pushing files across the network anywhere in the world at the rate of 1 million+ nodes per hour, and they still try to say agentless is best. I challange any agent based vendor to beat that!

Mr. Cote,

I just happened upon your blog as I was doing some research for a new business plan I am helping put together for my company, DeskSync, LLC. I would be very interested to get your feedback on our upcoming new release of ClientSync 3.0 - which would compete with the likes of SMS 2003 and BMC's Marimba among others. When you get the time, I invite you to visit our website and download the free trial of ClientSync (but make it after 6/19 when v3.0 will be released) and then put it through it's paces. It is a very powerful tool for Windows environments of any size and I would love your constructive criticism.

Regards,

Sean Eveslage
Vice President
DeskSync, LLC
