I saw several movies recently, as usual. Here’s some quick reviews:
Hot Wax Zombies on Wheels
The sad thing about having a reputation for liking and knowing about zombie movies is that you get sucked unto watching a lot of shitty movies. You think this one is going to be OK, but it’s not even “a good ‘bad.’” No, it’s just “plain old bad, as in, don’t see it.”
Dude, it’s not even a proper Zombie Movie.
The Devil Wears Prada
Sure, why not? I thought it was OK, though Kim and Maya said it wasn’t cheesy enough. Sure, it was like a Vouge version of Sex and the City, except without the Sex part, but a well executed work-movie is always interesting to a Protestant work-ethic addled American like myself.
Vally Girl
Kim has a serious crush on Mr. Cage. And, actually, this movie is fun: he’s in his “smarter, dreamer version of Keanu Reeves” phase. Who doesn’t like the spate of moralistic teen movies from the early 80′s? Raise your hand? Exactly.
