More about hard drives than you ever wanted to know – Back of the Envelope #009

Extra gravy for your ear-biscuits

Every now-and-then, I record something whacky or just “ambient.” I sometimes find it calming to hear little recordings of people just walking around or hanging out.

Long ago, I put together a little podcast feed called “gravy” to put this kind of stuff and other things in. Here’s the feed: http://feeds.feedburner.com/gravy. Subscribe to it if you like that kind of stuff. It’ll be linked over in the sidebar if you want to check back.

I’ve got some stuff from Kim and I’s last trip (Thailand) to fit in there once I get libsyn to behave. In the meantime, there’s some downtown Austin sounds like hanging out on a nice day at a coffee shop, going to the trail of (Christmas) lights, and walking in the early evening in downtown Phoenix (while at SAP TechEd 2009).

Like I said: smoke ‘em if you got ‘em.

Every morning, Kim goes through the same routine on her iPhone – checking email, reading news, Twitter, etc. One morning I asked her to go through the typical morning routine. Click below to listen:
