I have the Amex Platinum. When I used it to gain access to the Admirals Club in JFK, I was not given drink tickets. When I got to the bar I was asked to pay something like 8 or 10 dollars for a glass of wine. I reapproached the front desk and was told that Platinum card holders are not entitled to free drinks. Now how about that!! Considering that the 1.5 liter bottle of wine they are serving me from costs about 10 bucks tops, you would think they could spare it. But AA as usual goes out of its way to disappoint us over minute details, which do unfortunately leave customers with a lousy impression of the company.
